He started his Deck Building Business in 1986 with sales of $26,000 and in the years to follow built the company into a brand for the state of Michigan with sales exceeding $3 million.  During this time his work was used in the marketing for two national manufacturers and one international manufacture.

The company was featured for 12 consecutive years in Qualified Remodelers Magazines top 500 remodelers in the country, and was listed 198 in the first edition of Remodeler Magazines top 550. See some of the magazines he was able to get his deck building company in.

Along with the national brand BuildMeaDeck.com he created www.deckbuy.com  an online deck supply company featuring Deck Gold a premier deck stain.
